Developer Advocate
Help developers build on Velo — through the API, integrations and content that makes independent work easier to automate.

Velo is looking for a Developer Advocate who loves building in public and helping developers succeed. Velo has a REST API for invoices, quotes, clients and expenses, and you will be the person who makes it easy and enjoyable to build on.
As our first Developer Advocate, you will define what developer relations looks like at Velo. You will create content and examples that show what the API can do, build relationships with developers and agencies who automate their workflows, and represent their voice to product and engineering.
Write tutorials, guides and sample projects that use the Velo API. Build and maintain example integrations and demo apps. Improve our API documentation and getting-started experience. Gather developer feedback and turn it into clear product insights for the team.
An existing audience in the developer, freelance or agency space. Experience building integrations on third-party APIs. Experience with automation tools and webhooks.
You will join a small team where your work ships quickly and lands with people whose income depends on it. We give you trust, context and time to do things properly — and your feedback will shape the roadmap.
Velo is built by Elysium Designs, a studio that has lived the same problem our users have: proposals in one app, invoices in another, and payments chased over chat.
We keep the team small on purpose. You will own real parts of the product, talk to the freelancers and agencies who use it, and see your work ship in days, not quarters.
Work from wherever you do your best work. We care about output, not hours online.
Written updates over meetings, so deep work stays uninterrupted across time zones.
Take a feature from idea to release, and stay with it after it ships.
The details matter. An invoice is how our users get paid, so we sweat it.
Build for people who bill for a living
Every screen you touch sits between a freelancer and their next payment. That makes the work concrete, and the feedback fast.
Learn across the whole stack
Proposals, invoicing, client portals, AI drafting and payments all live in one product, so there is always something new to dig into.
